Book Review: The Quantum Hemispheres — Book One: The Rise of ARCO By Sarah Whitfield, London, UK

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

This is one of the more interesting takes on power and control I’ve read in fiction.

What stood out is how closely the themes mirror real-world pressures in energy and infrastructure. The idea that systems begin to operate beyond traditional oversight isn’t far-fetched—it’s already happening in parts.

The book doesn’t rely on dramatic collapse scenarios. Instead, it builds a much more plausible shift—slow, structural, and difficult to reverse.

It’s thoughtful, well-paced, and genuinely unsettling in how realistic it feels.

Sarah Whitfield is a 42 year old living in London UK and works as a Policy Analyst in Energy & Infrastructure. Sarah works in energy policy and infrastructure planning, focusing on long-term system resilience and regulation. She is particularly interested in how technological systems influence national and international decision-making.
